The Museum of North Ostrobothnia’s building specialists provide information for municipalities, communities, companies and private individuals in North Ostrobothnia. We offer advice on the conservation, study and restoration of built heritage.
The museum provides official statements to municipalities, regional authorities and the National Board of Antiquities on plans related to landscapes and buildings of cultural and historical value and their surroundings. The Museum provides expert opinion in consultations with planning authorities and participates in the work of regional authorities carried out under the guidelines of the Ministry of the Environment and the Finnish Heritage Agency.
Our building specialists provide advice by telephone and email. In addition to telephone advice, expert services for building conservation include official statements, which must be requested in writing from the Museum of North Ostrobothnia.
Requests for statements should be sent to the registry office at kirjaamo@ouka.fi. The request for comments should be marked North Ostrobothnia Museum.
