ACTIVITY

The guide will meet the group at Turkansaari Bridge and introduce them to life on a farm in the early 20th century. The programme follows the children of a fictional farm, learning about their lives and daily chores. The programme includes group reflection, discussion and small tasks.

The teacher must accompany the class throughout the tour.

DURATION

The tour lasts about an hour and takes place on the main island in the yard of Ylikärppä House. Please allow about 1 hour 30 minutes for the visit if you intend to eat a packed lunch in the open air.

LINKS TO CURRICULUM

General learning area L2, Environmental Studies: T6, T6 and T12, S3 and S5.
