ACTIVITY

The group will go directly to Linnansaari and meet the guide there. During the tour your guide will tell you about the interesting history of Oulu Castle. The group visits the castle cellar. If the group is large, it can be divided in two and the group left behind can do a small activity led by a guide and supervised by the teacher. The teacher is therefore with the group throughout the tour and helps the guide to lead the students.

During the same trip, the class will also visit another cultural site in the city centre. The visit to another site can be before or after the visit to Oulu Castle. The distance between the two destinations is by foot. Any ticket or other costs for the other destination will be covered by the school. The teacher arranges the visit directly with the staff at the site.

Good places to visit free of charge are Pekuri Library, Pikisaari and Ainola Park. Also check out the contents of the Atla service! The Oulu Art Museum offers both self-guided and guided tours. For more information about tours and prices at the Oulu Art Museum, please contact the museum directly. Please note that the Museum of Northern Ostrobothnia is currently closed due to relocation.
