Telling stories of local history, art and the future, the Oulu Museum and Science Centre’s collections are managed by the North Ostrobothnia Museum and the Oulu Art Museum.

The North Ostrobothnia Museum is one of the oldest cultural history museums in Finland, and its extensive collections of objects and images are an important part of our common cultural heritage.

Oulu Art Museum has two main collections, the Oulu Art Museum Collection and the City of Oulu Collection, and ten individual sub-collections. Today, the collections hold more than 4,500 artworks.
